Šporki Makaruli (Dirty Macaroni)

Here is a recipe of one dish that is preparing, according to the old Dubrovnik's custom, for the Christmas, New Year and St. Blaise's day.

Šporki Makaruli (Dirty Macaroni)
One kilogram sliced beef and three large onions fry in oil until meat and onions are fully processed.
Add salt and one kilogram of peeled tomatoes and stir until all ingredients are pervaded.

Then add the following spices: Cinnamon, whole cloves, nutmeg, bay leaf, parsley, curry, sweet red pepper, ginger, garlic, oregano, basil, and even grated lemon rind.
The more spices the better!
In all that add the red wine (about 6 deciliter) and cook on low temperature  three even more hours.
Serve next day with macaroni and Parmesan cheese. Before serving add olive oil.
