London 2013 - day 1.

London is the capital city of England and United Kingdom with about 8,5 milions residents, standing on the river Thames. Its history going back to its founding by Romans who named it Londinium. Today London is one of teh world's leading finacial centres but it is, as they say, global city of arts, education, entertainment, fashon, media, tourism and transport.

Ah, London.... somehow everything is about London These several previous dashes of general information, and there is no need to talk about London anymore in this way, It's all easy to find the you need it. But London should be experienced a live and enjoy every moment you spend there. It's really a nice and interesting city that nobody leaves indifferent. This was my second visit to London. When I was there for the first time my eyes were wide opened. I wanted to see everything, get everywhere, I couldn't miss anything. Then I visited all major attractions and yet I remained "hungry" of this city. Ten years passed and I have never stopped thinking about how I have have to go to London again, and this year I realized it.

Our hotel was next to the Kensington Gardens so we started our stay in London by walking.
Kensington Gardens are just one of the Royal gardens and parks in London. A wonderful designed as a vacation spot for socializing with family and friends, there you can see people having a picnic on the grass, children playing, cyclists, people who just walk .. in short a nice atmosphere, relaxing. We walked the a large part of the park all the way to The Albert Memorial.

The Albert Memorial is located opposite the Royal Albert Hall. It is one of London's most ornate monuments. Unveiled in 1872, The Albert Memorial commemorates the death of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband, who died at the age of 42.

We continued walking to Kensington Palace. It has been a royal residence since the 17th century. Areas of Kensington Palace are open to the public. Visitors can walk through the King's State Apartments, the Queen's State Apartments and the Gardens. But we didn't enter anywhere, we just walked and so we made the first break in one kiosk, took some of the fast food and beverages, sat on a bench and enjoyed the moment. Of course we shared the food with birds and there were lots of them. Great!
