Keukenhof or "Kitchen garden" is also known as the Garden of Europe. It is the world's largest flower garden situated near Lisse, Netherlands. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7.000.000 flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.
Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam. It is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region".
Keukenhof is open annually from the last week in March to the middle of May. Since we were in Amsterdam at that time, we decided to take an organized tour which lasted 4 hours.
It is a paradise created by human hands. Four hours passed quickly and we enjoyed every moment of it. I can't write much about it, it simply must be seen and experienced.
Here is my Trip Wow slide show. Enjoy!
